Terms and Conditions

Before purchasing ANY item from J-tek PrePress Systems you must agree to the terms and conditions set out below.  If you have any queries regarding any of these terms please contact a J-tek representative. 

By making a purchase from J-tek PrePress Systems or any of it's subsidiaries you agree to abide by ALL of these terms and conditions.

International and non EU customers please contact a J-tek representative.

Definitions
In these terms and conditions the following meanings shall apply:

“We” and “Us” means J. Hothersall / J-tek Pre-Press Systems.
“You” and “The buyer” means the person seeking to purchase goods and services from us.
“The goods” means the goods or where the context permits services to be supplied by us.
“Company Signatory” means a person authorised by us.
“The terms” means the terms set out in this document and any special terms agreed in writing between a company signatory and you.
“The contract” means the contract for the supply of goods and services incorporating these terms.
“Consumer” means any natural person acting for purposes outside their trade, business or profession.
“The Defect” means the condition and/or any attribute of the goods and/or any other circumstances which but for the effect of these terms would have entitled you to damages.

Payment
Payment Terms: Payment to be received no later than 30 days from date of invoice.

We Understand and will exercise our statutory right to interest under the Late Payment Of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 if we are not paid according to agreed credit terms.

Our payment terms supersede those of the buyer.
Under the afore mentioned act an additional fixed fee for late payment will be charged as follows:

     For a debt less than £1000.00, the sum of £40.00

     For a debt of more than £1000.00 but less than £10,000.00, the sum of £70.00

     For a debt of more than £10,000.00, the sum of £100.00

Pricing
Labour
A minimum charge of the equivalent of 2 hours labour will be applied as an initial call out charge. This charge will be wavered in the event that labour exceeds 2 hours.

Title and Risk
Risk in the goods shall pass to you when the goods are delivered.

Goods remain the property of J-tek until payment has been received.

You shall hold the goods as our fiduciary agent and bailee.

We shall be entitled at any time to recover any or all of the goods in your possession to which we have the title and for
that purpose we, our employees or agents may with such transport as is necessary enter upon any premises occupied by you or to which you have access and where the goods may be or are believed to be situated.

Restocking Fees
Goods returned without a returns number issued by us or without fault will be charged a 25% restocking fee. Delivery
charges will not be refunded.

In the event that goods are returned without fault installation charges will not be refunded.
 

The Contract
It is your responsibility to be fully conversant with the nature, operation and performance of the goods including any harmful or hazardous effects their use may have.

In the event that you deem the goods to be beyond economical repair or parts are no longer obtainable for their repair, we will, unless agreed in writing with a company signatory, charge, at agreed hourly rate, for all time spent on site, travelling to and from site and time spent off site on buyers behalf.

The guarantee shall become null and void if the defect arises from wilful damage, negligence, abnormal working conditions, misuse, alteration, repair not authorised by us or lack of operator knowledge.

Parts supplied but not fitted by us are not covered by the guarantee.

This contract shall be governed and interpreted according to the law of England and Wales and you agree to submit to the non exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts

If any clause of these terms is held by a competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable the validity of the other clauses of these terms shall not be affected and they shall remain in full force and effect.
